Vision
To cultivate places & moments of refreshment and restoration where people encounter God, strengthen their families, and experience the life-giving power of His Word & Presence.
Mission
Our mission is to create life-giving opportunities for people to encounter God through Scripture, hospitality, and intentional moments of rest.
Using tea as an invitation and hospitality as our ministry, we craft Scripture-rooted products, resources, gatherings, retreats, and immersive experiences that draw people closer to God and to one another, inviting them to come away with the Shepherd, be refreshed in His presence, and go forth to give life to others.
Like the believers gathered around the table in Acts 2, we seek to create environments where authentic fellowship, prayer, discipleship, healing, and encouragement flourish. We are committed to strengthening women, families, churches, and ministry leaders by fostering meaningful connection and creating spaces where God's presence is welcomed and His Word is treasured.
Through hospitality that transcends generations, backgrounds, and denominations, we aim to cultivate a culture of refreshment and restoration—one table, one family, one gathering, and one community at a time.
The Beginning
Our Beginning
In many ways, Chavamade began long before there was a business, a product, or even a name.
When I was twelve years old, my family celebrated my transition from girlhood to womanhood with a special gathering where women I deeply admired spoke words of blessing over my life. Among the gifts I received was a delicate floral tea cup given to me by my childhood best friend's mother, Karen Peek. As she presented it, she shared that she saw a gift of hospitality in me and prayed that it would continue to blossom throughout my life.
That tea cup still sits in my office today as a reminder of the calling God was planting long before I recognized it myself.
Over the years, hospitality became a thread woven through every season of my life—gathering friends around a table, ministering to women, opening my home, and creating spaces where people could feel welcomed, encouraged, and refreshed in God's presence. As my family grew, so did my desire to strengthen families, encourage ministry leaders, and create environments where people could encounter God in meaningful ways.
The business itself was born in 2016 during a season of postpartum depression following the birth of my first son. Watercolor painting became the creative outlet I needed and a source of healing, eventually growing into a small business. During that season, the name Chavamade emerged from the Hebrew name Chava—Eve—meaning "life-giver" or "mother of life."
Originally, the name carried the simple idea of something created by a mom made for moms. Over time, however, its meaning deepened. Chavamade came to represent a calling to cultivate, nurture, and give life through the creativity, hospitality, and stewardship God had entrusted to me.
As life grew fuller with homeschooling, ministry, motherhood, and military life, Chavamade was placed on hold. Yet the burden God had planted never left. Through years of studying Scripture, ministering to women, and sharing countless cups of tea, I began to realize that God was cultivating something much larger than a business.
He was teaching me about biblical hospitality.
Then, in 2025, the Lord began to give me a new direction for Chavamade. Drawing on a decade of studying botanicals, He opened my eyes to a gap within the tea industry for products intentionally rooted in Scripture and designed to help people slow down and spend time with Him.
Today, Chavamade is more than a tea company. Through handcrafted teas, biblical resources, gatherings, retreats, and immersive experiences, we seek to create opportunities for people to encounter God, be refreshed in His presence, and experience authentic community.
Tea is the invitation.
The larger vision is refreshment and restoration.
Our long-term vision is to create a Christ-centered sanctuary where hospitality, Scripture, creation, and community come together—allowing individuals, families, churches, and ministry leaders to step fully into the life-giving experience that Chavamade seeks to share.
In every season, the heart of Chavamade remains the same: to cultivate spaces where people encounter God, are refreshed in His presence, and are equipped to go forth and give life to others.
Our invitation remains the same:
Come away with Him.
Sit at the Shepherd's table.
Taste and see that the Lord is good.
And then go forth to give life to others.
